Gage Bolden
A native of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Gage Bolden carries on a legacy nearly 50 years in the making. His grandfather built the original course in 1979 under the name The Widowmaker, and in 2020, the family had the opportunity to bring the property back into the family’s care.
After graduating from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in 2017 with a degree in Criminal Justice, Gage began a career in law enforcement with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office and later worked as a private investigator across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. But golf and family heritage called him back.
In March of 2022, Gage officially stepped in as the General Manager of Palmetto Hills Golf Club, LLC, overseeing the course’s ongoing development, operations, and community revival with a deep sense of purpose and pride.
Outside of the course, Gage is a newlywed to his wife Allie, the Varsity Competition Cheer Coach at Dorman High School. They live locally with their two dogs—Maverick, an Australian Shepherd, and Bowen, a friendly Bernedoodle—who can occasionally be spotted greeting golfers around the property.
At Palmetto Hills, Gage combines his professional discipline, family values, and vision for the future to ensure every golfer feels welcome and part of something special.
